What is a Closer Together event?
In a nutshell, Closer Together is a unique one-on-one game night experience where both your playful inner child and your caring adult heart have time to shine. This event is designed to strengthen your relationships in a lighthearted, cozy environment.
What kinds of games will we play?
We incorporate a mixture of nostalgic childhood games with a collection of thought-provoking question prompts. The former creates a carefree lightness that many of us are lacking in our daily lives, while the latter enables our guests to engage in honest & interesting conversations with one another.
Is this event for couples only?
On the contrary! While couples are certainly welcome and encouraged to attend, Closer Together was created to be an event that would enable you to get a little closer to anyone in your life who you care for. A romantic partner is usually the person whom we are already closest to in life; the purpose of this event was to create a space where we could prioritize the other connections in our lives that matter a great deal yet are frequently devalued or neglected. Bring your friend, your parent, your sibling, your relative, your favorite colleague, or anyone else!
Why are tickets sold in pairs?
This event is structured to be a one-on-one experience that allows you to focus on a singular person in your life and your connection to them. It's all about giving someone your wholehearted attention and making them a priority for the duration of the event. As such, tickets are sold in pairs because you'll always be attending with someone else!
Why are some events more expensive than others?
The cost of each event is influenced by several factors: the venue hosting the event, whether or not food and/or drink are incorporated into your ticket, and the vendors providing said food/drink. One of the things that makes Closer Together special is that no two events are the same. Be sure to check out the details of any event you are considering attending to see what is included in the cost of your ticket!
Can I bring my children?
While we love kids, Closer Together is an event that is curated specifically for adults to focus on their interpersonal connections. All of our events are 18+ and some are 21+. Please check the details on the event you’re interested in to confirm any age restrictions.
I have to cancel my reservation. Can I get a refund for my ticket?
We understand that sometimes things come up and plans change. You may receive a full refund for your ticket up to one week prior to your scheduled event. (Or if you'd like to exchange your ticket for an event on a different date, just shoot us an email & we can make the swap for you!) Any cancellations made between seven days and 24 hours prior to an event may receive a 50% refund. Day-of cancellations may not be refunded.
What if I am running late to the event? Will you still let me in?
We at Closer Together have great respect for people's time, and we ask that you respect ours, too. This is a small business that takes a great deal of care and planning in executing these special events. We ask that you arrive promptly at the start time listed for your event. The first 15 minutes of every event is designated for check-in and table assignments; arriving on time will not only ensure that you have the optimal experience at our event, but will also show respect for your host who has worked hard to prepare a memorable experience for you. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late to an event, your ticket will be considered forfeited and a refund will not be issued. However, we understand that sometimes emergencies happen.
